Room Head Moves

As from Monday 7th July there will be a rotation of Heads of Room – this is to give both staff and children a broader range of experiences, and to help staff with continuing professional development. The new designations are:

Head of Babies – Emma D

Head of Small Babies – Sam C

 Head of Pre-school – Clare E

Head of Toddlers – Tracey M

Updated Info

Can parents and guardians please make sure the nursery has updated records at all times in case of emergency.

New Staff Appointments

It is our very great pleasure to welcome Sheridan Parton, NVQ qualified, to the HunnyPot team. At the moment she will be helping Tracey in Toddlers.

 Exiting the Building

Parents should be escorted from the building. If you find yourself in the position of not being escorted, please can you tell somebody in the baby room/ office you are leaving because some parents have been leaving the door unlocked – bad for security. Whilst every effort is made to escort parents out, sometimes a rush, or sudden staff shortage can make this difficult so please just let somebody downstairs know the doors needs locking behind you.

 Gates

Can parents please make sure the gates are always locked behind them – especially the gate at the top of the stairs. Thanks.

Keyworkers

Your child’s keyworker will be displayed on the parent notice boards in each room - or please feel free to ask the head of room about your child’s keyworker identity.

Open Day & Summer Fair

We are provisionally arranging an open day and summer fair for Saturday the 2nd August. There will be stalls (tombola, cake stall etc), emergency service vehicles, bouncy castle, face painting, possibly a go-kart track, a morris dancing troop, a BBQ (Andy is a good sausage chef) and a host of other surprises! All children and parents are very welcome!

Summer Trips

We are planning a range of summer trips for the nursery children – and are asking for parental suggestions (especially ideas for babies). Please pass on suggestions to Emma Dickinson, Deputy manager.

 Reports

June reports out this week – sorry for the slight delay! They are coming, we promise
